Clark Wilson LLP is seeking an intermediate Systems Technician 1 to join our growing Systems department.  The ideal candidate will have experience in technical support and providing exceptional service to our members.  This is a full-time, permanent position and is ideal for anyone wanting to join a firm that takes pride in having a collegial working atmosphere, where growth and professional development are supported. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Providing technical support to all users:


  • document processing;
  • accounting and library service application;
  • repairs PCs and printers;
  • orders laser cartridges for printers;
  • sets up new PCs and installs software;
  • assists end-user with hardware and software problems (i.e. printers);
  • handles end-user support in various software applications; and
  • respond to queries, resolve problems and follow up to ensure resolution.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS


  • graduate of an industry-recognized Computer Information Systems program;
  • a minimum of one year of recent experience working as a systems technician, primarily in the areas of Help Desk Support;
  • the ability to confidently manage technical support issues from start to finish;
  • solid understanding of Windows 10, Server 2016/2019 and MacOS operating system, core network concepts, remote access protocols and Multi-factors;
  • familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, specific law industry applications and HP printers;
  • hands-on experience with PC deployments, laptop support (Windows and MacBook), desk moves, remote troubleshooting, software installations, inventory management, Zoom/Teams troubleshooting;
  • the ability to stay composed during high-stress situations;
  • excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • the ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks and competing requests;
  • a client-centred approach with the commitment to providing outstanding service;
  • the ability to follow instructions and adhere to deadlines;
  • dedicated to providing service beyond expectation; and
  • the ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion and confidentiality, and to adapt to changing demands.
